STRAPS
Straps – Improvers and up
2.30pm – 4pm – Week 1

These straps / loops classes are aimed for those who have basic training in straps or a strong ability in another aerial discipline.
We’ll be working through the fundamentals of straps technique (root positions and pathways followed by some spinning) progressing to working on movement within the loops and the potential we have to explore there.
Some sequences will be taught but we’ll also use improvisation and creative tasks in order to find our own pathways and shapes, finding enjoyment and flow in the straps with our own body’s unique facility.
Please bring Tubi grip support (stretchy bandage) or something to cover your wrists/ ankles if required.
Prerequisites:
– Be able to hold own body weight.
– Can invert and hold a straddle.
Straps – Intermediate and Up
4.15pm -5.45pm – Week 1

These straps / loops classes are aimed for those who have traine straps previously or a strong ability in another aerial discipline
We’ll be working through the fundamentals of straps technique (root positions and pathways followed by some spinning) progressing to working on movement within the loops and the potential we have to explore there.

4.15pm – 5.45pm – Week 2
Space F, Stage – Tutor – Pepe Espinoza
In this class we’ll get to experience the simplicity of the straps but the complexity of the technique. We all think that strength is the most important thing to be able to do straps but in this class we’re going to find the balance between strength and flexibility, in the air and on the floor.
We’ll find new creative pathways, work on beats and on spinning technique. Basically, we’ll learn how to have fun while we do straps!
Pre requisites:
– Be able to hold own body weight.
– Can invert and hold a straddle.
– Energy!
