Hoop – Intermediate and up
12pm – 1.30pm – Week 1

Here we will learn the basics of dynamics, trying to figure out the mechanics and how to feel safe within that. We’ll also work on dynamic sequences with some improvisation work so that you can be YOU in the air !!
Pre- requisites: A good knowledge of most simple positions and to be comfortable with transferring between them. A basic knowledge of dynamic movement isn’t essential but is recommended.
4.15pm – 5.45pm – Week 2
Space D, central ‘mother truss’, closest to stage – Tutor Chrissie Ardill
Dancing with your hoop and intro to spinning technique. Take your spins from rotisserie chicken to nutribullet. Learn the foundations of winding up for a spin, some fun floor spins and entries and sequences that look great in a spin, as well as some explorations of ways to move together with your hoop.
Pre-requisites: invert from ground without spotting. Bring socks/long sleeves
Hoop – Skilled and Advanced
10.15am -11.45am – Week 1
Space D, central ‘mother truss’, closest to stage – Tutor, Iliana Atamaniuk
Here we will have a quick review of the basics of dynamics but we’ll also aim to learn lots of dynamic tricks and material and how to make them your own, alongside some dynamic sequences.
Improvisation will also be part of the workshop so that you can find yourself in the air !!
Pre- requisites: A good level of strength, confidence and control on the hoop is essential to join this class.
2.30pm – 4pm – Week 2
Space D, central ‘mother truss’, closest to stage – Tutor Chrissie Ardill
Lock-in spin technique, work on crafty and tricksy spin entries (including flares) and weavy, dancey sequences.
Creatively sharing the space with your hoop and exploring the possibilities of having a heavy steel dancer partner.
Pre-requisites: confident inverts, pull up from dead hang, good hoop awareness, no puking. Bring socks/long sleeves
