FLYING POLE

Flying Pole - Improver Up

2.30pm – 4pm - Week 2

Space F, Stage – Tutor Lydia Moran

This class is designed for movers who have some aerial experience but may be new to the apparatus. To take this class you would ideally be able to briefly hold your body weight with your arms.

We will first work on preparing the body for the apparatus through strength exercise, before exploring spinning technique and shapes with multiple grip-points.
Throughout the week we will work on interpreting the learned skills in your own unique way, and creating sequences in your own movement style.

Flying Pole - Intermediate Up

4.15pm – 5.45pm - Week 2

Space F, Stage – Tutor Lydia Moran

This class is designed for aerialists who have experience with pole (dance pole or flying pole), or who are well versed in another aerial apparatus. To take this class you should have a strong aerial invert, and be confident with spinning.

We will work on strengthening exercises that prepare the body for specific skills on the pole. We will look at spinning technique for flying pole and explore shapes that involve skills with a single point of contact, and various grips. This class will have a strong focus on building sequences, and interpreting the learned skills in your own movement style.
